The rebranding for an accounting app that uses IA to automate tasks.
The brand “Fred de la Compta” needed a refresh from the inside out, naming included. The main purpose was to boost the brand so they can jump internationally and become the leader for the app’s accountancy sector, first in France and then in Europe.
And so far they’d done it widely.

Searching for a new name is never an easy task. I work along with the Strategy team to find the perfect name for the accountancy app. We wanted it to have a sonority of money or something related, and in english if possible. Turns out that the list of names available to get creative these days is quite limited, and if we crossed out with the available .com registers is even worst.
After some days of work and some come and forth with the client, “inqom” was the chosen one. It is distinctive, short, easy to pronounce, and makes it easy to verbalise the name: “hey Rick, did you inqom the invoices of last month?”. It works!
Once we had the word for the name of the brand we needed to infuse it with meaning. We needed to create a whole storytelling to help the users understand what we were after.
The new brand language acknowledges the past heritage of the brand and delivered a new purpose, more powerful and ready for nowadays challenges on the digital culture
